At Metro Dental our team is dedicated to ensuring that your experience with us is efficient, comfortable and positive, delivering results of the highest possible standard. Continuing our educational philosophy we feel it is important to provide you with all the information so you can develop a comprehensive understanding of what to expect, what services are available to you and some of the technology we use to complete our procedures.

First Visit Experience

At Metro Dental our staff are dedicated to ensuring your treatment is achieved efficiently with integrity and respect to produce quality results that last. With an interest in education and a desire to keep you informed we have outlined a little of what you can expect as a new patient on your first visit.

  1. Upon arrival at the practice you will be greeted by friendly staff who will request you hand in your New Patient Form and can assist in answering any questions.
  2. You will then meet with one of our dentists to discuss in detail your needs and requirements. If required any x-rays will be taken in this time.
  3. A professional clean will then be done, assessing the current state of your oral health and discuss treatment options and possible next steps.

Your Medical and Dental History

At Metro Dental we strive to provide you with the highest possible care. To do this we need to collect personal information from you that include contact details and matters pertaining to your general health, both past and present. Without this information it is difficult for your dentist or hygienist to plan your care properly.

Please be assured that this information is maintained in accordance with State and Federal Privacy Legislation. Health Funds/ HICAPS

At Metro Dental we can claim your health fund benefit at the surgery via HICAPS. We accept all credit cards and EFTPOS.

We are affiliated with Bupa and Medibank Private. We participate in the Medicare Teen Dental Plan.

It is recommended that your child being to see a dentist at around 12- 18 months, unless concerns arise earlier. This is helpful as it allows us the opportunity to ease your child into visiting the dentist and ensure that their first experiences are always positive and funs, helping them create lasting oral care routines and a routine of regular dental assessments.

It is recommended by the Australian Dental Association and Bright Star Dental that you visit our dentist every 6 months for a dental assessment. However if problems arise in between those time we advise having them looked at when you notice them. Often treatment time and costs and be reduced through early diagnosis. Remember, prevention is better than a cure.
